Thank You for Coming to MassJam

We would like to thank everyone for coming to MassJam 2018. We hope that everyone had a great time at this rare event. The troop arrived and set up camp quickly, then went to the opening ceremony and then the events. There were great activities like bottle rockets, archery, air rifles, sports, and stem. There were also trading cards that were given to troops so that they could trade with other troops. Troop 180 got the rarest variant,which was the archery card, so people swarmed the camp entrance to trade for it.

At night Jessie Chris performed for everyone at a concert at the stage. After the performance, there was an opportunity to get a picture taken with her.

The next day the events were open to the scouts again, and people went to events that they hadn't gone to before. In the afternoon, a marketplace of patch trading areas set up along the road that was next to the stage, leading to the trading post. Many people, including some in our own troop, participated and traded patches given, by the adult leaders. Some people got some rare patches that are worth lots of money.

One of the staff members at one of the sub-camps set up a Magic the Gathering draft game for those who enjoyed Magic. The next day the troop packed up and prepared for the long trip back. The troop left before everyone else, so they got home early. Many scouts enjoyed this special experience, and we hope that those who are young enough to attend will go to MassJam again in the future.
